Owner

Frank Napolitano

Frank Napolitano opened the Hair Studio in 1977 in its downtown Pittsfield location and has operated there ever since. Frank is recognized as a Master Stylist & Colorist, having studied with Sassoon, Paul Mitchell, Beth & Carmine Minardi, and Lisa & Jon Gunther. He is the only practicing Board Certified Colorist in the area.

Frank continually seeks training and techniques from innovative industry leaders for himself and his staff, and is constantly on the lookout for products to improve both his clients’ hair and lives. He recently launched “The Hair Studio” line of hair care products so that his clientele would have access to high-end, yet affordable, hair care products at home.

Hairdresser & instructor

Sandy Ray

Sandy has been a licensed hairdresser in Berkshire County for 34 years. She has studied with, and received certification from, Paul Mitchell, Redken, and Wella.

Sandy is a licensed cosmetology instructor; in addition to fulfilling her clients’ dreams for beautiful hair at the Hair Studio, she helps students realize their professional hairstyling dreams at Pittsfield High School. Sandy specializes in exceptional hair care, color, cuts, and perms.
